Great Bands for an Awesome Festival (Java Rockin'Land)...

Sewaktu Java Festival Production (JFP) mengumumkan daftar sementara grup rock internasional yang bakal tampil di Gudang Garam InterMusic Java Rockin'land 2011, salah satu pertanyaan yang kerap muncul di media sosial adalah, apakah The Cranberries bakal datang dengan vokalis Dolores O'Riordan. Sebenarnya, JFP tertarik mengundang grup ini ke festival rock produknya justru karena The Cranberries reuni kembali, lengkap dengan vokalis aslinya.

Info terakhir yang dapat dilihat di website The Cranberries adalah grup ini baru saja menyelesaikan rekaman studio untuk album baru mereka tanggal 24 Mei kemarin. Jadi, besar kemungkinan penonton Gudang Garam InterMusic Java Rockin'land 2011 pada tanggal 23 Juli dapat mendengar beberapa lagu dari album terbaru The Cranberries.
Sejauh ini telah ada 14 grup band internasional dan 60 grup Indonesia yang telah memberikan konfirmasinya untuk tampil pada Gudang Garam InterMusic Java Rockin'land 2011 pada tanggal 22, 23 dan 24 Juli 2011, di Pantai Carnaval Ancol.

Beberapa yang bisa disebutkan adalah The Cranberries, The Dirt Radicals, Ed Kowalczyk of LIVE, 30 Seconds to Mars, Neon Trees, Loudness, We Are Scientists, Happy Mondays, Blood Red Shoes, Young the Giant, Good Charlotte, Franco, Frente dan Helloween yang datang dari berbagai negara.
Sedangkan beberapa grup rock Indonesia yang sementara ini telah sepakat akan tampil antara lain adalah God Bless, Cupumanik, Edane, Power Metal, 7 Deadly Sins, The Morning After, Closehead, Parau, Speak Up, Step Forward, Power Slave, X-Shibuya, March No Label, Devide, Master Wu, Morfem, Dried Cassava, Fable, Alone At Last dan Munthe. Daftar grup rock yang bakal tampil akan terus bertambah.

Beberapa Hal yang Unik

Entah disengaja atau semata karena kecocokan, grup rock itu sering anggotanya kakak-beradik. Paling tidak ada empat grup rock yang hadir di Gudang Garam InterMusic Java Rockin'land 2011 memiliki anggota kakak-beradik, The Cranberries (Noel dan Mike Hogan), 30 Seconds to Mars (Shannon dan Jared Leto), The Dirt Radicals (Matt dan Sam Cooper), dan Good Charlotte (Joel dan Benji Madden). Sementara grup Happy Mondays didirikan oleh kakak beradik Shaun dan Paul Ryder (Paul sudah tidak bersama Happy Mondays), sedangkan Ed Kowalczyk, sejak bersama grup LIVE, sering bermain dengan adiknya, Adam Kowalczyk, sebagai additional player.
Tahun 2011 adalah tahun yang istimewa bagi grup rock legendaris Jepang, Loudness. Mereka merayakan usia ke-30 tahun ini. Selama bulan Mei � Juni, Loudness tur keliling Amerika Serikat sebagai perayaan. Loudness adalah grup rock Jepang yang mencetak kesuksesan di daratan Amerika.

Munculnya nama Blood Red Shoes di daftar grup penampil, membuat penggemarnya di Hong Kong buru-buru membeli tiket Gudang Garam InterMusic Java Rockin'land sejak bulan Mei. Sedangkan bagi penggemar grup rock Good Charlotte, penampilan mereka pada hari terakhir Gudang Garam InterMusic Java Rockin'land 2011, Minggu 24 Juli, menjadi pelipur kekecewaan fans-nya, karena batal tampil di Bali bulan April lalu.

Website dan Media Sosial Menggemakan Rock

Bila Indonesia, Jakarta khususnya, mulai dikenal sebagai tempat tujuan pencinta musik jazz, kini saatnya menggemakan Jakarta sebagai kota tujuan pencinta musik rock di seluruh dunia.

Saat nama Gudang Garam InterMusic Java Rockin'land dicantumkan di official website grup internasional, dan diperbincangkan melalui media sosial, maka makin luaslah penyebaran nama Jakarta sebagai kota festival musik dan Gudang Garam InterMusic Java Rockin'land sebagai festival rock internasional.
Banyak rock festival goers yang menyerukan Gudang Garam InterMusic Java Rockin'land di sosial media, bakal mendorong promosi bahwa di Indonesia ada festival musik rock internasional yang bergengsi.
